Do I need to buy my ticket in advance?
Yes. And space is always limited.
Is there a minimum age?
All guests must be 18 years or older and must show ID and sign a waiver.
Are there any house rules? Will there be a DM?
House rules include no cameras or cell phones, and no fire, blood, breath, or scat/piss play. A DM will be onsite. The house safeword is “Safeword.”
Will alcohol be served?
This varies by event. Check the specific event description for details.
Can I play on the same hardpoint or floor space all night?
The play areas are shared spaces. A time limit of 1 hour per play station will be enforced if others are waiting.
Will there be food?
Light munchies and water will be provided and are complementary.
What should I bring?
A mat or rug if you plan to play on the floor, rope, a suspension ring, a rope bottoming bag, and extra cash or a credit card if you plan to take advantage of the silent auction. And your sense of playfulness and fun!
Is this a for-profit event?
No! Most proceeds beyond covering the event costs are put toward BARE’s Folsom Fair booth costs. Performers from the Bay Area and all over the world are not charged for participation.
Anything else I should know?
This a rope-centric, community-oriented party. Please be respectful and considerate of others, and save any scream-inducing torture for the dungeon. Cameras and cell phones are expressly not allowed. The hosts reserve the right to remove anyone without recompense who disregards the house rules or who behaves in a disrespectful or disruptive manner.
